PARENT SURVEY
Created on: 26/06/2009 20:48:11 Author: Mr Gray |
Please find along with this week’s newsletter a questionnaire that I am hoping you would
fill in so that we can gauge how well you believe we are doing in school on a number of
issues relating to your child’s education. Your opinions are very important to us as
without your feed back we cannot tailor the educational provision we offer to your needs.
|
 |
|
|

When the returned forms have been processed I will be feeding back to you the general
levels of satisfaction that you describe and how we will be adjusting the way school goes
about organising aspects of school life that you may feel need improving.
Please return the completed forms to school by Friday 10 July. |

Created on: 24/01/2009 17:59:32 Author: Mr Gray |
I am very pleased to be able to inform you that school has been awarded the Activemark 2008 for the high quality P.E. and physical exercise that the teachers provide for the children at All Saints’. We are currently involved in the East Staffordshire School Sport Partnership and the quality and range of physical activity undertaken by the children meets the standard that the government Department for Children, Schools and Families requires to achieve this award.

OFSTED Report
Created on: 11/02/2008 10:01:42 Author: Mr Gray |
The OFSTED inspection report is now available for you to download. Those parents who remember the last inspection may well recall that the previous report was a very lengthy affair in comparison with this time’s concise appraisal. One of the reasons for the brevity of this report is the fact that the inspector could find very little that she felt needed improving, although we have a long list of school actions in hand to further develop the range of opportunities we offer your children. One aspect of the report - and the inspection itself is the way that the children themselves are included. Mrs Furness took notice of, and also commented on the observations made by the children who talked to her about their school. She has included a letter for the children in which she describes the outcomes of her
visit to them. |

SCHOOL LUNCHES
Created on: 07/11/2008 18:32:21 Author: Mr Gray |
We are very pleased that the recent school kitchen inspection, undertaken by Lichfield
District Council, gave a ‘5 Star Award’. This was for food hygiene and high food quality.
Congratulations go to the kitchen staff on achieving this high standard.
I feel that children and parents must be aware of the improvements made because there
has been a large increase in the number of school lunches served. |

All Saints' CE (C) Primary School
Created on: 20/10/2007 12:08:23 Author: Mr Gray |
You may have noticed an article in this week's Lichfield Murcury about the amount of progress that children make during the course of Key Stage 2. The 'value added' scores for thirty local primary schools were listed giving an indication of the extra progress made by children over and above the progress that they could be expected to make in English, Maths and Science. It is a great accolade on behalf of you, your children, their teachers and assistants that such excellence has been achieved, putting All Saints', Alrewas in the top five per cent of schools in the country. Well done! What an achievement!

This week, Mr Evans, the school's Local Education Authority District Officer carried out a brief monitoring exercise on the school's quality of educational provision and achievement. He felt that the standards school reaches and the quality of teaching and learning that he has seen on successive visits of late was very good and that the staff and children should be complemented on their achievements. |
