You may have noticed an article in this week's Lichfield Murcury about the amount of progress that children make during the course of Key Stage 2. The 'value added' scores for thirty local primary schools were listed giving an indication of the extra progress made by children over and above the progress that they could be expected to make in English, Maths and Science. It is a great accolade on behalf of you, your children, their teachers and assistants that such excellence has been achieved, putting All Saints', Alrewas in the top five per cent of schools in the country. Well done! What an achievement!

This week, Mr Evans, the school's Local Education Authority District Officer carried out a brief monitoring exercise on the school's quality of educational provision and achievement. He felt that the standards school reaches and the quality of teaching and learning that he has seen on successive visits of late was very good and that the staff and children should be complemented on their achievements.
